What SpriteFix does
in plain, simple steps.

Simple mode

Drop PNG, JPEG, WebP, or Aseprite. We clean them and show Ready — preview, frame size, download as PNG. Labels stay short and plain. If several files look ambiguous, we ask how to treat them. Use Try a different cut on Ready if auto was wrong. Pro extras can be tried there; pay to take those files home.

Clean & line up feet

We find each pose, remove empty space, line feet up in every cell, and make every cell the same size. Works for characters, items, effects, and icons — not only walk cycles. Clear or near-black backgrounds are fine. First clean keeps native cell size. You can then pick native size, 16, 32, 64, 128, or 256, or a custom width and height.

Many sheets at once

Drop Jump, Attack, and Idle together. Each sheet is cleaned on its own — different lengths are fine. On Ready you can preview, pick what to download, remove a file, or add more. Free/Basic: 10 files / 2.5MB. Pro: 100 / 4.5MB.

Edit each file

Select a file and change only that one, then clean again. Full-screen editing with zoom for small pixel art: crop empty borders, flip, rotate 90°, remove a solid background, and erase stray pixels — a signature, a spark, a leftover guide line. Paint any solid color or match a color from the image. We show the size in pixels. Eraser, Brush, and color matching are free to try; unmarked PNG download is Basic.

Preview & GIF

Play the animation before you download. Change the speed if you like. Download a looping GIF for store pages or Discord — it uses your current frame size and speed. Free GIFs include a watermark.

Jobs and cuts

On Ready, Try a different cut re-runs a different job if Simple chose the wrong one. Size, alignment, layout, and extras stay on Ready — try them, then pay for the unmarked file your plan allows.

Cut by grid · Pro

Use this when poses sit in equal boxes and auto-detect sticks them together (trails and effects). On Ready choose Try a different cut → Slice a uniform grid, then pick your frame size. Pro is needed to take that file home.

Layout, keep-as-grid, ZIP

Row and column are free. Keep as grid leaves a 4×4 as 4×4, empty cells included — that download is free. Split a multi-row sheet into one strip per row is free. A ZIP of each pose, packing several sheets into one grid, and a new packed grid layout of the same frames can be tried on Ready; Pro is needed to take those files home.

Free vs paid downloads

Free: automatic cleaning + preview + GIF. Downloads have a watermark and _spritefix in the name.

Basic ($4.99 once): no mark, your original names, clean downloads on your account. No monthly fee. This is what most people buy.

Pro ($14.99 once; $10 upgrade from Basic): everything in Basic, plus bigger batches, cut-by-grid, ZIP of frames, grid layout, and outline. Sprite data is already included with Basic.

Outline & sprite data

Optional extras on Ready. Try an outline around each frame (Pro to take home), and a sprite data file with your download (Basic to take home): a sprites.jsonin Aseprite format listing every frame rectangle — read directly by Phaser, PixiJS and Cocos, and by Unity or Godot through an importer plugin — plus a bounds file with each frame's height, scale and tight box.

Game engines
