A sprite sheet is hard to judge as a still image. You cannot tell whether the walk cycle reads properly, whether frame 6 is a duplicate, or whether the feet slide until you watch it move. SpriteFix plays the cleaned sheet right in the browser at a frame rate you control, and exports that same animation as a looping GIF — useful for a devlog post, a store page, a Discord share, or just showing a teammate what is wrong with frame 6.

How to do it in SpriteFix
Upload a sheet or a frame folder
Drop one packed sheet, or a folder of numbered frames — either becomes a single playable strip.
Open the preview
The Ready panel shows the cleaned strip with a play control. Playback needs more than one cell in the focused strip.
Set the frame rate
Play, pause, restart, and change FPS to find the speed the animation was actually drawn for.
Fix what you see
If a frame is wrong, remove it from the Ready queue or reopen guided setup and re-cut, then play it again.
Export the GIF
Download the looping GIF of the preview, or take the PNG strip instead — the preview and the export are the same frames.

Questions people ask
- Can I turn a sprite sheet into a GIF for free?
- Yes. Uploading, cleaning, playing the animation, and exporting the GIF are available without paying. The clean, unwatermarked PNG strip is the part that needs Basic.
- Why is the play button greyed out?
- Play needs more than one frame in the strip you are looking at. If you uploaded several separate sheets, each card holds one cleaned sheet — combine the frames into one strip first, then play.
- Can I control the GIF speed?
- Yes. Set the frame rate in the preview before you export; the GIF uses the speed you are watching.
- Does the GIF keep transparency?
- GIF supports only a single fully transparent colour, so soft anti-aliased edges may show a fringe. The PNG export keeps full alpha.
